tl;dr on bottom

Love so Life could easily be a top or bottom pick manga depending on what type of person you are.

It is a story about a teenage girl that works at an orphanage, but then gets hired to become the babysitter of two young twins being looked after by their busy uncle. It is very slice of life with a bit of plot development here and there, but the main focus is definitely placed upon the relationship the MC has with the two kids. On the side is also a slow moving romance between the MC and the uncle of the two children that really takes its time to build up to much.

The majority of characters are either very likable or very realistic. The two main characters both have their own charm to them as well as a nice dynamic with each other, the twins really feel like actual kids, and all the side characters are alright I guess. The interactions between all the characters are honestly the best part of the manga and it really makes you feel the closeness they are as a family, even though they aren't a typical one.

The art is about what you'd expect so I'm not gonna talk about it much.

Now I want to raise a few personal issues that I have found with this manga. First off, after thinking about the story as a whole, I found it so surprising how little character development there was. Most of the characters stay relatively the same from beginning to end, which you could argue is a good thing if you enjoy them from the beginning, but for someone who really enjoys seeing characters grow, it was a bit of a disappointment. And while I said that the plot advances earlier, it's more like the plot with lurch forward every few chapters, then stay the same for the next 10. Of course the romance aspect of this is also something to be desired, but I think the manga makes it clear that that isn't the main focus.

Overall I think that if you enjoy slow paced slice of life with warm interactions between the characters then you'd really enjoy this. I personally like stories that do most of the things that this manga did not do (story and character development) so I found myself trudging through it at times. That being said though, it was an enjoyable experience nonetheless.

tl;dr- very slow paced but cute, so if that's your thing then pick it up, but if you like development and change, consider something else
