so good.. just so good
before the 3rd/4th episode i haven't even realized that this is satoshi kon's work but then everything made so much sense. you'll find a lot of paprika/perfect blue vibe in here and this series is 100% recommended to all fans of these two movies.
this show offers many characters with depth and even if some of them aren't really likeable, they still stay in your mind because they have unusual or emotionally triggering stories. in this show nothing is ever as it seems, illusions, dream worlds and exaggerations are the main themes. what i liked about this show ->so much<- is that it manages to be philosophical and deep without wasting too many words. there aren't pseudo-intellectual conversations about the meaning of life or stuff (or maybe i just haven't noticed them that much idk), instead the feeling of depth is portrayed through visuals, subtle details and believable human emotions. also this is one of the most creative shows i've ever seen, every episode is somehow creative, so many scenes were just genius and you have to smile so often because you think "i see exactly what you just did there".
op and ed are also crazy but cool, especially the ending is just perfect for maromi, the mascot of this series.
