Going into this anime, I didn't think much of it as none other than another badly animated series adapted into CGI. After the first episode, I acknowledged that this series had some potential. When I started watching more and more, I became increasingly invested in the characters and the story. I can't believe that I've kept off watching this show until now. Such an extremely underrated show. Moreover, the attention to detail in animating the retro games and the moves adds on to the immersion in the time setting of the show and helps to make the characters more believable per their era. Also, the romance isn't just inserted artificially into the story. It feels natural and gradual, presenting itself as a blooming flower and well paced and the innocence of childhood in regards to the characters only seek to make it more real. Anticipating the upcoming season to be just as worthy of watching.
