This is a spoiler free review, however some focus points in the review may come off as a spoiler (even though they will have already been revealed in the trailers so not really.)
Story: 9/10
The story follows the very story of what happens after the end of Dragon Ball Super.
If you are a huge Dragon Ball fan like me and have seen all of the previous movies, you'll probably already know of the entire story up until this point.
So if you remember what Broly and Paragus were like, you can definitely know what to expect.
Going into detail of what happened with them and some of the Origin of the Saiyans, and then moving past all of that up until Super, it makes it so the viewer whether you have been following the show or not, can still figure things out and keeps it simple.
It fits right in and makes it so both hardcore fans or casual viewers don't have to be confused and make a lot of it.
If you're coming from Z and have not seen Battle of Gods, Ressurection of F or haven't seen Super at all, you might be confused with Beerus & Whis or perhaps even with some of the forms shown, but they did state who and what Beerus is.
Other than that I find how they set up the fights, dialogues, dramatical moments and any comedy related parts to all have fit in very well and keeps the viewers very engaged as well as gives you quite the excitement while also enjoying the movie.
Overall I find the story to be written very good and couldn't have seen how it would've been done better.
Art: 10/10
Giving a whole new flavor compared to what we've seen, this artwork style seemed very off to me when they first revealed the teaser.
But it turned out to be ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!
The artwork at all times has been insanely well done and is just beautiful.
I would love it if this is how the show would look like when it returns.
The art, coloring, all of the visuals we're absolutely spot on and I have only great things to say about it!
Sound: 9/10
The voice actors have done an incredible job (I've watched it in Eng Dub) and brought such incredible life into the characters.
I'm sure the Japanese cast for the movie have done an amazing job as well, but I can't comment on that and can only assume.
The soundtrack of the movie was really great, ESPECIALLY during the fight scenes.
It really brought a lot of hype and excitement to them and made it more epic!
Kudos to the guys in the studio who've worked on it!
Character: 9/10
You have the main cast of Super returning with Goku & Vegeta being the main characters of course.
However with Broly & Paragus also being key parts, with a very nicely background story about them and having shown some nice character development for Broly, I think they've done an amazing job.
Broly compared to how he used to be in the movies from Z to the one from this movie has more to it.
While being similar in terms of being a LSSJ, he actually looks like he has a will rather than in the old movies where he wants to simply kill and shout "Kakarot!" all the time like some Pokemon.
They've done a great job at making him a character who has more meaning and actually gave him a personality which made me very happy as I've always liked Broly.
Enjoyment: 10/10
As a huge fan, of course I will enjoy the movie to the fullest. I've been super hyped for the movie and had already heard such great things about it.
I was slightly let down with the previous 2 movies, while I did enjoy them, they were nowhere near as a good as this one.
In my honest opinion, I find this movie to be at least 10x better than any of the previous movies and had such a good time.
I was super excited during the fights and even the background stories kept me very interested as well!
I could not even eat my popcorn anymore at some point because I was enjoying myself so much that I began shouting during the fights! (Apologies to the people that were sitting next to me.)
That was just how much I enjoyed myself!
Overall: 10/10
This review may come off as biased as I'm a huge fan and was going to enjoy it regardless.
HOWEVER the fact that it was so well written, had some really good character development, insane visuals and some absolutely well done fighting scenes made it well worth it!
If you're a Dragon Ball fan or even a casual fan, this is a movie you do NOT want to miss.
Overall I give it a big fat 10 as a sum up for all the points I've made and it really shows if you've seen it or are planning to watch it.
Best Dragon Ball movie PERIOD!
