The pet peeves I had in this anime were:
CGI budget cuts; Grandcrest Senki had budget cuts too but they tried to hide it really well. The Budget cuts I think also caused the mediocre ending.
Main character is weak asf, and does nothing besides google search strategies...
The antagonists were just flat characters.
The relationship the main character had with the girl back in Japan was a good excuse to not touch his harem (IMO more anime should do this excuse instead of making the main character a beta male) but their relationship was really bland and unrealistic.
This anime has an anime original ending, even changing the girl he ends up with.
Verdict: reboot this anime, this time with a good studio, the budget put into this show is not enough for a strategic/war anime.
