The VN this is based on has many routes, many of which are really gruesome, focused on blackmail and rape mainly. But there is this one route, that is vanilla af, wholesome and sweet. I felt *something* while playing it. This adaptation just took the rape and blackmail route, and since I'm not a big fan of that genre.... well yeah it was underwhelming. The art is average, Yui looks beautiful but that's the only highlight I can give (7)
The sound was alright, nothing to stand out. (6)
The characters, well I hate the MC, since this is the degenerate version of the MC, and I hate to see Yui all sad and hopeless. And since they didn't go deeper into Yui's character Arc and even the MC's... yeah poorly executed. (4)
My enjoyment is just average, I watched it till the end, but it is pretty forgettable (5).
And finally, overall I would say, go read the VN if you like that media, I'm sure you will find something to your liking since the story placed there has a lot of potential for enjoyment far more than this adaptation. (6)
P.S: If you couldn't tell from this I am a huge vanilla and "lovey dovey" hentai/eroge enthusiast. So take that into consideration for your own judgement.
