As an anime and and DC fan It was exactly what I expected from the trailer. The film takes place in warring states japan era, but takes the technology known from the other characters to create a wild and wacky buildings.
The film understands its a DC film but also that its an anime giving references to others.
The joker in the film is done very well and is exactly what you would expect.
Best advice is watch a little bit of the trailer and see whether its for you.
