A beautiful movie about a boy who used to bully a deaf girl in elementary school, growing up and trying to make amends for it.

The animation is clean and looks incredible, and the music was sad and powerful and hit the right spots.

The best aspect of the movie is the story which was emotional and captivating, I even shed a tear in a few of these scenes because they just felt so sad.

I connected with the two main characters. I can understand Ishida's lack of confidence, I often feel like he does, alone, like he can't look people in the face, it felt real to see that. Nishimiya is beautiful in so many ways, she has so much heart and she's so humble, and yet she's not a "perfect" character. She's deep and well written, she has depression too and she underestimates herself which is also something I can relate to.

I also think bullying, depression and awareness for disabilities, are very important topics that were presented respectfully in this movie.

The one thing I didn't like in this movie was some of the other characters and how they acted. A lot of people were so mean and acted so wrong, I was frustrated. I didn't connect to the supporting characters the way I thought I would. Except Yuzuru who is a great girl.

I rate anime from the heart, so I think it's a great movie, and idk why I waited so long to watch it. This one made me feel and I'll probably think about it for a while.
