Mixed Feelings
Let's start with my final impression of this anime: It would have been much better if it was made into a TV series rather than single movie.

The story is rather simple. As stated in the synopsis, five girls need to dance together in order to save the world. The main focus of this story is rather the character development; the girls to overcome their feelings against their real life so that they will be able to unite and dance together. That, however, was not very well presented.

Much of the light on character development was focused on Isumi, and little on the other characters as well as interactions between the characters. As such, the other four girls' character development was poorly executed since it was not explored in depth and thus feels very lacking. Which is exactly why I feel that Pop in Q would have been better off as a TV series as it would have been able to explore each characters more deeply.

Otherwise, the art, the music, and the dance is nice and fun to watch.

Overall, I rate this film as a 5 (Mediocre) as the story and character development is not good but the visuals are fun to watch.

Side note: If they make a sequel out of this, I will likely watch it due to curiosity
