Also, I'd like the record to show that this isn't a comedy as some have said. It's quite a serious, intense anime, but the overall plot of Internet Addiction is meant as a bit of a joke. Although, I don't think it's the creators trying to imply that my generation is addicted to the internet, but rather, I think they're trying to show that this is how older generations perceive the severity of millennials' internet usage (when, in fact, it isn't that bad, so they need to chill).
Okay, enough about that. Here's the thing, once I got past my hold up about the premise of this anime, it got--dare I say--good! Not absolutely amazing, of course, as you can see by my rating, but it was entertaining enough to watch all the way through.
If you're having trouble getting through the first few episodes but are dedicated to watching this anime, let me be the first to tell you, it gets so much better the longer you watch. Although, be prepared for the ending to be a bit hokey. It isn't very clear, and it doesn't make much sense, but I think that's because the anime ended before the source material did, so the ending of the anime is original (and thus, not the best).
Anyway, Evil or Live was appealing in it's own way. I'd potentially come back to it in the future, who knows? It was definitely a wild ride while it lasted.
