Preliminary (12/83 chp)
Just one word to describe such a work.

Masterpiece.

The best ongoing manga now and in a long time, and rightfully so.

Firstly, I would like to present myself as someone who has fairly high standards, or at least I claim to be so.
If you were to check out my profile, you will find how cruel I am a critic. Berserk, which seems to be the highest rated manga on animelist, would be nowhere near my list of very good manga, although I gave it an high score. Yet this manga, for now, sits among the top for all the manga I have read. Amazing, truly amazingly constructed if each chapters are read without the pre notion of an connection between them, suiting my queer taste in manga.

You have to read this right away. NOW. Or at least some time later, and I have nothing else to say. Most people will probably like this, while some people might not like it for its predictable plot, or its fairly boring and repetitive themes. I would like to say think again to such people.

REMEMBER: This manga is only good by its one shot-like chapters. The complete, overarching story is really really uninteresting and generic and without all these interesting elements/subplots I would have made the score, and so my regard, much lower.

Story:nine

The story is basically about a guy who goes killing people under other peoples request, although you should not take heed of that. Each chapter is fairly unique in its own way, and there is a overall link that ties them together, yet most of them have a similar outcome, so one might get bored of that, and feel that its riddled with deja vu and cliches. I, on the other hand, found that these cliches where actually not that bad. Although it might have been repetitive to some, every story still retained a sense of provocativeness. I must almost commend how it is fairly seinen, unlike most seinen posers. The chapters may seem to be not long enough, or it may even be way too long, yet I found it to be structure well into such few pages. Very very interesting composition of the manga. Very very structured individually. Other than this, I don't have much to say for now.

It is fairly interesting how the manga artist author also drew shoujo micheavilsm which was BAD, not only as an anime, but more so as a manga, which points out the deranged nature of the anime manga production in present times.

Art:eight

But that also means that the author draws very well. That is the phenomenon commonplace among manga nowadays. Good graphics, bad story. This, maybe because of a good story author, had the manga in a good position both graphics and story wise. Fairly interesting, and there is even an old element included, so it seems more grander. Art is not that important, unless the art is disgustingly bad, or it is focused on the art, which this manga is not, and so it is not something to take heed of.

Character:Four

Characters are not that well made, all are boring and forgettable and fit a bit too easily into the plot. I do not like how the characters were made, but it is the plot that truly captured me, a point that I should have to reiterate again and again.

Enjoyment: Nine

This is insanely good stuff, a very heartwarming read. When I feel like it, and have more to talk about I may update this with more of my thoughts but is very very good. I especially liked chapter three as it was fairly, how do say, engaging. Pretty interesting plot and I am craving for more of the subplots, and individual chapters plots, rather than the overarching story, which is fairly uninteresting.

Over:nine

And thats why I gave this a nine overall. It has everything and has almost zero flaws, almost zero. The only problem i have is that the overarching story is boring, and so thats why I did not give this a ten. Maybe something might change, maybe there will better integrations. The overarching story does not tie very well with the subplots from what I have seen.

Readers tastes: If you are not into dark manga, you won't enjoy this. If you are not into psychological Seinen manga, you would probably like this, as although it is psychological, this differs from many of the manga in that genre, as you won't see too much of those weak characters who get pounded and NTR happens to them all the time and character development is gruesome, as THIS IS BASICALLY A COMPILATIONS OF ONE SHOTS. If you look at it from that perspective, I think your enjoyment would be raised significantly.

And if you finished my review up until here, I'd have to say READ IT. It should be worth your time.
