This show was... interesting. When I started it, I was expecting something along the lines of the horror anime "Another": a dark classroom setting. I was expecting the chemistry of "Danganronpa": a somewhat gory anime of students having to kill eachtoher for freedom. However, I got neither of these, but I was quite pleased that I didn't.

This anime doesn't fit the summary, in my opinion, so if you want to turn away because the summary doesn't appeal to you, then I suggest you don't. If you like humor, group missions, fight scenes, battles (whether hand-to-hand or just midterms) and the whole school package, then I suggest you stick around. The best part of this entire anime is character.

When I watched the first few episodes, it didn't hold my interest for very long and I was on verge of quitting it, but I have OCD about leaving shows unfinished, so I went back and forced myself to keep watching. However, by the time I watched episode 12, I wasn't forcing myself anymore: I was truly enjoying it.

The selling point for this anime is the characters. They have great chemistry and it's great to watch them interact, not to mention the fact that they're all really skilled but also flawed, so you can cheer them on like real people. Sometimes it takes the cliche side of things, but I can assure you that there'll be some surprises. Some characters may blend into the background, but the ones upfront will never let your attention waver.

There's humor, enough action to keep me from getting bored, a little hint of romance thrown in for romance addicts like me (if you don't like romance, don't worry about it, it barely even lasts for ten seconds in the first season), some great teamwork and characters, and a good plot line with not too many holes. If you're looking for something to watch casually, this could be your next show.
