When i first read the description i was expecting/hoping for a story kind of more grounded in reality even with the absurd premise. Was also wanting characters to act a little more realistic. I guess you could say i was expecting something akin to Pretty Face manga.
But the this manga tends to have characters act really weird and the story never explains things. We have everybody just assuming that this female 1st grader is in high school cause the way he is acting.
The story does have issues. Besides how weird the dialogue can be. For example. This may just be a culture difference. But at times i felt like i was gonna be placed on some type of watch list. The story at times sexualizes these first graders and i personally find it weird. There also an absurd amount of talk about panties for some reason.
I would have loved if the showed the MC growing up through the years. There is a character named Rin who is a 1st grader. So i thought the story would be going through the years as the MC and Rin grow up with each other into Highschool and have some type of relationship. I feel this would've been interesting. The MC's main love interest is pretty much his mother through out the entire story and i only saw her as that so the relationship is they have is weird at the end. I personally think it would've been better to see the MC dealing with growing up for the second time and dealing with a different gender as he does it this time.
Besides all that was very much enjoying the story. Than we got tons and tons of absurd stuff happening. Such as
. Loli piloting a android ( This was used as a joke for one episode)
. Magical stuff coming in such as Loli Santa coming in.
Near the end around chapter 48 or so it got really bad we had
. The same Android used before turns out is just a Iron Man suit disguised and has the ability to summon magical creatures.
. Random pedophile that has an annoying cliche of being immune from the law because his father is a politician or some BS.
. Coming out of left field is an evil corporation that wants to make a youth serum so they kidnap the mad scientist sister and forces the scientist to make .
From here on i'm gonna be talking about the ending so ~~SPOILERS~~
So yes we have a cliche evil corporation wanting youth. Tons of random crap happens and oh whats this an evil corporation makes some type of virus that spreads out and affects the population ? So yes now we have a discount Resident Evil in this story. America is randomly shoved into this and pretty much just bashes America. But America is used to help japan so they send in the military. Some crap happens and than we have Navy Seals in this now and they have been turned into little children ( Side not anyone affected by the virus turns into a small child and acts nothing but like a child would except Navy seals who steal has the same combat power as before) Than we have discount Obama as the President making demands.
I could go on with how weird the ending became. But i don't want to be typing all day. If you were to tell me when i was on chapter 4 or 5 that this is what the ending would be like i wouldn't believe you. This is so weird and different.
Last thing i would like to mention. I hate how the MC became a male high school student again. Especially sense the entire story revolves around him as a 1st grade female. Kind of annoying when stories do stuff like this. He should've stayed as a 1st grader.
Would give this story a 7.4 I'd say. It would probably get a 8..4 or so if that ending didn't turn so weird. Would have been a 9 if it explored the idea more of the MC growing up through the years.
