So let's get to the issues I have with the show:
Everything is unrealistic af.
The MC?
- a poor student attending a school for rich kids? - still somehow believable
- therefore has multiple jobs that cost him all his remaining time when not in school yet somehow able to play videogames all night to the extend to be almost at professional level? - completely unrealistic
The Story?
- seriously, didn't someone check this script before they started animating?
I would say that it's still a better lovestory than twilight but i'm really not sure here.
Rei, the most beautiful girl in the school happens to play the same game than our MC and falls in love with him because his ingame-character (who looks like a baby with a knights mask) saved her from a boss... Really?
Then the game shuts down for some unknown reason and Rei suddenly knows that Suigin is Gwin (the name of his ingame-character).
During the last few hours of the game, her father is killed and it turns out that he is actually Suigins grandfather and not her biological father, basically to avoid incest.
Rei is seen crying at the funeral but is completely fine just a few days after.
Meanwhile Suigin inherits 10 billion yen from Yuuki (the grandfather) but guess what: it's just ingame currency for the new game "Grave Buster" - trolled.
Then Rei gets abducted by some shady guys in a black van and Suigin follows them onto the highway with a bicycle. Yes you heard right.
After a truly heartbreaking "will-he-reach-her-hand-sequence", which of course is completely original, he crashes and Rei gets abducted AGAIN by a magical dude who transfers them into the game world.
When Suigin tries to follow her there, he accidentally summons a beautiful female servant who is actually just two living ball-beings which emerge from her boobs?! - but fan-service right?
Art and Sound?
Not too bad, not too good.
My only issue is the Art Style when in the first game. It just seems lazily animated imo.
If future episodes alter my opinion on the show I'll update this!
