Okay the art is not perfect (sometime during the fights it looks like an old video game cinematic), the story is predictable. But the overall is perfect. The characters are really charming and have all their own contradictions. I don't know if the historical part is accurate but it doesn't really matter, the China depicted in this anime gives a perfect background. Sometimes when watching I felt like I was playing a RPG because I really felt close to the characters and I saw their trainings and their leveling.
I loved discovering this anime and I enjoy watching it a second time.
As it is not very long for a Shonen, I only have one recommendation, start watching it as soon as possible !
