So far I have watched the first 2 episodes of this OVA, so this review is based purely on what I've seen so far.
Having been a HUGE fan of the main story I was very excited to start watching this OVA. The episodes are self contained mini stories which focus a lot more on the characters surrounding Yukihira, and less on the main man himself.
I found the artwork in these OVA's to be less clean than in the main story, and the episodes felt very much like fillers. However they are still very entertaining and do a good job of showing the viewer a side of the characters outside of the usual 'cook or be cooked' Totsuki lifestyle.
You can expect food to still play a large role in each episode but they also focus more other recreational interests (like a trip to the pool/lake).
Overall the episodes don't quite measure up against their counterparts in the main story, but they still provide good entertainment and I'd recommend them to anyone who enjoyed Shokugeki no Souma.
