'K, so I'm trying here to write a real, non-spoiler review. But I might fail, so inform me please if I spoil sthing for u, k? I really wanna ppl to get to know this manga better.
First of all, a warning - I'm not sure 'bout it being truly shoujo-genric. While graphics definitely suit one, it has much more depth than your typical shoujo-like love story. It also shows flaws and ugliness of humans characters, which is why I was so fascinated in it the first place.
Second warning - you might not enjoy the open ending. I won't say anything more 'cause I don't wanna blow the surprise, but there are people who don't enjoy it. Frankly speaking, I usually share this kind of approach, but here, in this manga, it just fits perfectly.
Now, what truly drives this manga, besides perfectly executed graphics (protagonists design changes along with their growth and character, u can truly see what kind of ppl they are or were) is it's plot and characters. While at first one might feel discouraged - the first few chapters don't seem to promising - they're necessary for the story to unfold, so you have to bear with them. And you shoudn't skip - although it gets more interesting further on, they explain a lot of the future events, and introduce all the main cast to you.
This is also what I enjoyed in this manga - nothing happens without a reason. When some event happens, you can recall some hints and things that led to it, just like in a real life. All characters are portrayed as realistically as possible (well, with a minor comedic-like acts, but they're not important to the story).
And the last thing that you will enjoy - the cast. It's really wide, and unlike in other shoujo mangas where only two-four characters count, they're not really cast aside as a bystanders, or one-episode show-ups. They have their own life, and while observing the main protagonists one also gets a look at people surrounding them. While not all of them are developed, most of them have their story and relationships, which we observe via the conversations between them or when on of our main heroes get too nosy.
And last but not least - the main heroes. I liked them immensly. I liked the way they treated each other, interacted with side-characters, and I liked their respective development and changes that they went through.
I was truly moved by all this. And don't get confused by mangafox's genre - it's also a drama, a very believable one.
Well, this concludes my summary, it's my favourite and I hope more people'll get to know it.
Overall, I might exaggerate, but for me it's definitely 10/10 mark.
