This review contains heavy spoilers.
Story 5/10,Akame ga kill! doesn't have any 'Original' story,it can be summed up in one sentence 'Bad people being fought by good people that are seen as bad people',This doesn't sound so bad but it's the execution that fucks it up.
it tries to make us 'Feel sad' for characters,Like them and make us think this is a dark show that showcases how Unforgiving life can be,but That's just bullshit,it's way of showing you how 'Dark' it is,is by killing off almost every character For very stupid reasons ( chelsea stabs akame's sister but akame's sister gets plot armor and survives,Logic ),They tried to make us feel bad for a character who we saw nothing but 1 episode of or even less,And we have a cliche were whenever a character is about to die they showcase their 'Very original' past,and then just kill them.
And another huge problem in the execution of akame ga kill! is how missplaced the comedy sometimes is,you get the epic series start where you see our MC finding out his friends were just tortured to death,and then 3 minutes after it he gets Boobs in his face from a tiger-girl,this show tries too hard to be edgy and it just backfires horribly.
Art 5/10,Nothing special,not bad and not good either.
Sound 8/10,i really liked the soundtracks,voice acting op's and ed's in this show,it was well done.
Characters 4/10,This is as bad as characters get ( not worse than Sao though ) You have very stereotypical characters that don't really have anything great about them,You have our 'Hero' MC,the Tsundere,the Big sister,the clumsy glasses girl,the quiet and edgy girl,the tomboyish leader,the pervert,a yandere,etc.
Enjoyment 4/10,at first i was enjoying this show,It had a good start and all,but it failed really badly,even though it's fights were okay,but very predictable,Not recommended.
