There are very bad anime, like God Eater, which has nothing to offer. Then there are bad anime. Like Tokyo Ghoul, where you at least get all the stereotype you can. We also have "meh" anime: Rokka no Yuusha, which at least tries to make the plot interesting. Mediocre is Sword Art Online, which has all the potential, but blows at making it longer than 12 episodes. Mediocre anime just usually take it way too far with their "passion". Moving to good title Akatsuki no Yona. It doesn't have the "overly passionate" thing to it. What anime is very good? One that stands out and handles it well. For example: Shingeki no Kyojin. Awesome anime? One of the very best of it's genre: One Punch Man. There are a lot of these but..
To the highly anticipated point now we go! There are only two kinds of anime that can get 10/10. One that hits YOUR personal taste with all it has. And Berserk.
Yes, it is THAT GOOD. I honestly can't stress enough how good it is.

Story:10
To begin with it has one. You can take it for certain, but I know more anime that have no story at all, than those that posses one. So it has a story and it is good. Like good even compared to other genre than anime. Hell it is GoT level. Don't get me wrong on this one. It doesn't go as GoT at all, it just stand on the same level o quality.
Art:10
It is nothing outstanding by itself, but it fits the theme so good and no better technology could possibly make it better. It's like this style was made especially for this one piece.
Sound:10
Best. Soundtrack. Ever. (Would love to give it a "Period." but:) as well as for the art: the soundtrack is for berserk and berserk only. It kicks in just in the right moment with all it's got. Makes great mood better and bad mood worse. It's like a huge emotion amplifier and one of the inherent cornerstones of this series.
Character:7
I will never give an anime 10 for character development. I have accepted this fact with remorse. For me, 7 is as good, as it gets. Characters in Berserk.. Wait for it because this doesn't happen. Brace yourself, seriously. For characters in Berserk actually HAVE PERSONALITY THAT IS BELIEVABLE. Not joking. They still adopt a chunk from the stereotypical and cliché like patterns of "personalities" we see in every anime series, but even the typical bad guys have their good traits and the good ones have bad. You also may find yourself wonder which group they belong to, to the good or to the bad guys. But only for a while.
Enjoyment:10
Action. This anime doesn't stop to chat and if it does, IT IS PART OF THE ACTUAL STORY. That is SO rare. Boy it is so, so, so, so rare. No ten minutes long explanations of obvious, or of how good or bad the guy is and why. It just flows and flows and doesn't stop to bore you.

Overall:11/10
Take this all together: outstanding storytelling, present character development, fine-tuned art and soundtrack and you get Berserk. As good as an anime can get. Period.(satisfied :P)
