Death Parade is an anime that is all about the, theoretical, purgatory for the dead persons. This is known as, in this anime, Quindecim, and you must play a game that your life is on the line. But obviously, you're actually dead, but you don't remember anything about it so the twist here is that, you must play a game and there, you will remember about your past and your fate as you die via flashbacks.

The plot is quite good actually, as I was very amused about the game here in Death Parade and the backstory of each individuals as they put their souls on the line by playing a game based on what they've chose in the electronic roulette. This is much like you're playing a Russian Roulette for two. But only, their souls will either go to the void, in which the sinner will go to the bottom, or to the reincarnation, in which the person will return to the surface only as a different person, depending on how good or how bad their situation is before and after that person died. This will be judged by the Arbiters, a host for the deceased players and also the judge to determine who will go to the void or who will being reincarnated.

About the void and reincarnation, here in this anime, there are no such thing as "Heaven or Hell" as what we've believing in.

But the plot doesn't top there, because even though the anime is all about judging the persons and who will going to the void or to the surface, there are also some stories about the people who are serving for the dead. So in that way, we will not going to be bored to watch the same thing over and over again.

Also, even though it's very entertaining to watch, I also found this very painful though. Yeah, I know it's an anime, but piercing a dart to the board, for example, that is linked to every single parts of the body. I felt that, it's like someone stabs you and it was revealed that it was someone you truly knows. Also, some of the episodes were also dramatic, I mean, MOST of the episodes are pretty damn dramatic. Only few I would found were funny.

Also, to make this anime MORE AMUSING. Madhouse put an Easter egg in one of the episodes. Here's one clue, the anime also resembles the word "death". If you watch that anime and you're also watching this anime. You will see the Easter egg that I've been talking about.

Now for the character development, I'd say it's pretty damn splendid as I watch this anime. Some were pretty damn funny, or, like Decim, some are just dead-fish eyes, much like Hachiman, and emotionless. But it will change per each anime including the perception of each individuals here. I really enjoyed it, especially the persons who were playing at Quindecim that is being revealed as they play the game were absolutely eye-opening and amusing.

Art and sound are just only minor details. For the art, I'd say is pretty damn great. And for the sound, I'd like both the OP and the ED of the anime.

Overall, I'd say, it is another job well done for Madhouse. This is the third time I've watch this great anime from the company that I've been following with (except for Devil May Cry: The Animated Series and STITCH! for F***ing it up and putting it straight to my ass). I've seen the episodes, the games, the background of each individuals who made it to Quindecim, the people who are serving the Quindecim, etc.. This anime is pretty damn fantastic, and this anime is RECOMMENDED for everyone!! Go watch it! You will not disappointed, trust me. :D
