Story? We all know that in most, if not all, hentai series the “story” is usually inexistant and/or just an excuse to go straight to the H stuff. Maid In Heaven is not an exception: the so-called story consists of Nagisa being her master’s maid in training (a nice way to say “sex slave”). The episodes are only 2, but the amount of the above said scenes is quite impressive. Day or night, it doesn’t matter: the protagonists’ everyday life is made of that and everything leads to that. Period.
The Art & Animation are fine, but not remarkable. Nagisa is actually very cute and doesn’t look like a plastic doll, the H scenes are usually well-done, but the overall quality is average, nothing too different from other hentai anime.
Sound & Music. The Japanese voice actors are pretty good, especially Nagisa’s, and, of course, there’s lots and lots of moaning (it’s hentai, what did you expect?).
Anyway, the best thing of this OAV is, in my opinion, the OP theme. “Maid-san Groovy” is a cute, energetic, catchy song in which the rock melody and Pilko Minami’s childish voice make, strangely enough, a great contrast. The song used as ending theme in the 2nd episode is good as well.
The background music, on the opposite, is absolutely common, dull, and forgettable.
Characters. Nagisa and her master (whom she usually calls “Goshujin-sama” or “Onii-chan”) are the typical characters that can be found in many hentai of this genre: the busty, submissive maid who accepts to do anything to please her beloved and highly perverted master, who comes up with every possible manner to “train” his long-awaited maid (he’s an idiot, but at least he’s creative).
To sum it up, Maid In Heaven is a decent and at times amusing hentai OAV, obviously aimed at maids and bondage fans, and, even if kinky and fetish-filled, has a light mood and is not too extreme.
