I feel like I expected a lot more from this anime than I got out of it. For all those who remember the plot of Guilty Crown, I didn't find anything special from the story, to me it was extraordinarily similar, more so at the very end. But there are certainly things that the anime does well, as the story is not the only element the anime has to give. The characters were unique in their own ways, as we see the usual protagonist, and his childhood friend. Some of the characters did appeal to me at times, and character development often took me by surprise. The anime sometimes did put out nicely animated full fledged fight scenes between mecha's, and I felt it was nicely animated. The colors, art, and animation together balanced the plot in a way, and I stuck with this anime until the end.
