Preliminary (5/12 eps)
First off, let me just say this: don't let the fact that this is based on a romantic otome game fool you. Do NOT watch this expecting romance because wow, there is not one sliver of romance in this series.

However, if you were to go into this - unlike me - viewing it as a horror series, you might be able to handle this better.

Now, how to describe this anime? I'm only halfway in, I don't like vampires, and the only thing that has been happening in this flick is that every.single.male in this show has done nothing but abuse the female lead and drink her blood. So why am I still watching it? Well, really, the only thing that's bringing me back is an underlying mystery surrounding some shady vamp creeping around the house and the main girl trying to uncover the reason why her idiot of a father sent her to the mansion full of vampires in the first place. A pretty clever trick on the writers' part, because otherwise, there isn't much redeemable about this show.

The vampires are merciless and cold-blooded (apart from a white-haired one, and even so, I have little faith in him to be any sort of a decent person), who treat the main girl lesser than a bug, and the heroine - I say that hesitantly - hardly puts up a fight at all. I mean, I know they are undead, otherworldly blood suckers, but at least she could put up some sort of fight, or even try to escape once.

Long story short, the art and voice acting is good, but not much else. I know a lot of people are disgusted with this show, and for good reason. You really need super thick skin to get through it.
