So get this straight: Himeko has a complete and total girl crush on Chikane, but very openly is in love with Souma. The entire sun and moon goddess conflict aside, their friendship blossoms until one day Chikane pretty much rapes Himeko. Himeko, alienated (as she probably should be, considering she was raped by her best friend), avoids Chikane for awhile and seems to dedicate herself to her relationship with Souma-- who is honestly a pretty great guy and is the kind of a person anyone should be lucky to have. Well, Himeko starts to fight with the internal conflict that is her feelings for Souma and also her desire for, her best friend and rapist, Chikane. Eventually, however, Himeko gives into her passion for Chikane and dumps Souma to get with her. In any other universe, this series of events just seems bonkers-- but I guess anything goes with shrine maidens... ಠ_ಠ
