I think it would have been better if it could have as many episodes as Eureka 7 but it didn't, so it felt a little half-assed.
AO was great to watch but after watching it, when you start to think the things it didn't have (compared to Eureka 7) it doesn't look good at all. That is why it should be watched without any prejudice and expectations.
If you are a person that loves something so much that you will watch any shitty sequel, I think you will like this if you really won't set your expectations high.
In this anime I liked that even at 22th episode you wouldn't know what the ending would be like. (At least I didn't)
