This was a really, really good series. All of the characters had their moments, and we really got to see who they were as the show progressed. Yuji and Shana are both really great characters, who have a pretty fair amount of depth (and presumably even moreso later on)

There was a really strong blend of action, romance, and comedy that you really don’t get too often in a show, and that was a major plus to me.

If I had one bad thing to say about the show, it would be the THREE episode flashback to when Shana was becoming a flame haze. I wouldn’t have had a problem with them if they were broken up, but having three episodes in a row like that really threw me for a loop and in my opinion it was offputting to the story to do so.

Looking towards next season/series, I hope that Yuji definitively chooses Shana over Yoshida. I hate this! Yushida is cool but nah I just don’t see that happening between them. I think it’s going to involve Yuji learning how to fight and possibly getting control over his power more to help Shana in battle, which would be cool to see them fighting side by side. I hope to start the second season in the next few days!!!

I would definitely recommend the show to anyone who is looking for something that has a nice blend of action, plot, romance, and comedy in for good measure. So BASICALLY everyone. Yes everyone, watch it, it was super good
