"I Love My Sister's Boyfriend" is not, by any means, a good manga. It does most everything wrong. But I refuse to personally bash the mangaka. Making a manga can't be easy, so I applaud the mangaka for putting in the work that they did, and having the bravery to show their work to the public.

That being said, this manga takes on a cliche and overused premise and bends it into something almost cringe-worthy. The story is simple, and thus has the potential to be manipulated and tweaked into something extremely enjoyable. Sadly, there is no dimension in the plot of this manga. It is more than predictable - it takes those cliche routes in an annoying, unpleasant way.

The art in this manga isn't my cup of tea. There is little, in my opinion brought to the table with this style. An overuse of fluffy effects, sparkles, and screen-tones are placed distastefully in every blank spot. Technical drawing errors flood the pages. Manga is never guaranteed to be anatomically correct, but it is supposed to be pleasing to the eye, or look better than the real thing.

The characters are unmemorable, empty shells with little personality and faulty emotional portrayal. The moments that they have are unrealistic. These characters have no aspect of deepness to them and, unfortunately, just do not get the job done.

This manga got a two for me because I didn't find it overwhelmingly hate-worthy, nor disgusting. Just bad in a solemn, unemotional way. Overall, you've got a cliche, sluggish, and badly done manga with a very out of place ending. I wouldn't recommend it, but whether or not your curiosity gets the better of you is your own personal choice.
