Preliminary (Unknown/6 chp)
Can personally empathise with the deaf young man Tooru, so it was high priority for me to read this manga to see how the writer portray the character. And yes! it's quite easy to become nervous in public and startled also, and to feel very lonely in life. The gentle persistence of the other youth Kazuki was nice, and his attempt to help the deaf man to deal easier with his problem was noble.

To me the explanations were a little skewed. Kazuki's ideas were not how most deaf people think, but rather how hearing people THINK we think. And what would a deaf person need a cane for??!! I didn't agree with that portrayal of "handicapped." I wish Tooru's side could have been explained more accurately (maybe a little background research with someone deaf might have helped?), and the writer had spent less time on them meeting on the street or in the park, and more time/pages developing their relationship.

More range of facial expressions for both characters would have been nice also, though the artwork was consistent and neat throughout. Kazuki's fixed smile reminded me of Conrad in Kyo Kara Maou, and Tooru rather looked like a scared Zell from FFVIII, but still it's a nice, pleasant story, a unique idea. Cute, funny, and a little sex explicit. Yaoi lovers won't be disappointed I think. It's a bit of a slow starter but it picks up speed and finishes with a steamy explosion.
