The plots are different. Number has elements of fantasy/supernatural, where TS is more about high school students playing mind-games, however, I feel that the themes, art and scenes are similar.
Both have dark undertones within the plot; suffering with one's self and facing their fears. Another similarity is the art; amazing clean lines, crisp shading, attractive character designs and panel layouts.
They also have similar genres, that being "Psychological" and "bromance" (or shounen-ai), which stand out the most. I get the same "feeling" whilst reading both and instantly thought of Number after reading TS.
