Both involve a lot of fighting and battling with swords. The romance between the two main characters is also slow-developing but a very sweet story, but the main heroine reminds the hero of a past lover. They're both great reads, though Samurai Deeper Kyo has better art in my opinion.
Both have a lot of sword fighting going on and cool special moves that the characters learn/use throughout the series. Both InuYasha and Samurai Deeper Kyo mix action and humor very well to balance it out and both feature great supporting characters as well. Also both main characters have a good and "evil"/uncontrollable side, although in Samurai Deeper Kyo this is done for really quickly when Kyo takes control over Kyoshiro's body in the beginning. But in both cases the main female lead slowly affects the main character's more stubborn/dark/loner personality. Also the romance between the main male and female character grows very slowly in
