Both manga take place in humanity's future where things look bleak. Both feature giants and monsters with very interesting designs and anatomy.
In the age of monsters, humans/humanoids stands helpless in the face of towering enemies, only the hero holds a hidden power that allows him to fight back.
SnK and Giganto Makhia set in a new world where mankind has to fight for its own survival against monstrous titans and other godlike forces. They also take ideas from western mythology in which giants often appear. While SnK is rooted in Norwegian legends, Giganto Makhia incorporates Greek mythology into its story. Without spoiling anything, the two main characters in both manga also have a similar hidden power. If you like one, I recommend check the other.
