The themes of both series are very similar. MC are also pretty similar in terms of their personality, both of them are idiots, reckless, and caring for their friends. Great world building with insane plot and history. One piece might not seem so serious because of it's comedy, but if you get quite invested into the series, you will definitely be covered with questions constantly because of it's mysterious past.

Like tower of god , One piece has a fascinating world building as you explore island after island. Both are very good series for those who love adventure and action. Albeit not having as many intriguing and interesting side characters and hearty comedy as One piece i feel like tower of god excels at providing us with a fascinating narrative of a world of fantasy filled with interesting and mysterious creatures and people with unique goals. Progressing through each floor is very exciting and has a similar feel to when the straw hat's come across a new island.
