It gave me the same vibe, mc doesn't have parents, the characters have unique personalities and both are funny and bloody at the same time.
This anime is still new but similarities can already be seen. MC fights against demons to try to save his friends but starts to enter their world and learn more of them.
This anime is also comedic, similar art style, there's even a cat companion.
