They're both clichéd stories with a lazy and seemingly ordinary character who was granted great power for some random reason. As if you couldn't already hate the MC enough, he's surrounded by incredibly pretty girls due to his status. Also check Bible Black.
But both shows are enjoyable using comedy, good pacing, amazing art, sound and atmosphere to the fullest. Although cliché the plot is very well developed and carried out. Characters follow the trait and stereotypes and clichés apart, they're likable and enjoyable.
AKA: A very talented author with a peanut brain and some good advice from pros makes anything look good.

Both have a strong main character that is trying to hide their special powers and wants to live a normal life. Both main characters cannot seem to properly control their powers fully.
