Both are quirky, unique shows about a group of strange people living together, featuring one person new to the group, with occasional heartwarming and/or romantic undercurrents.
Both anime have similar plot, about a group of weird people (by the society standard) living together

On the outside these two animes may not look like they have much in common but on closer analysis you will see some substantial similarities.
-In both animes a 'guy' stumbles across a group of quirky characters that change his life.
- The 'guy' has a high profile, business like family (father)
- At some point in our quirky casts lives they have the threat of their home/land being bought up and they both must fight for it.
- Romance. between a member of our 'quirky group' and the 'outsider'.
- Comedy. Both are pretty hilarious.
Even if you can't connect the dots between both shows I can't recommend them enough

There are quirky and unique characters all grouped together, going about their wacky everyday lives, with just a hint of romance. Kuragehime has a bit more of a story to it, but they are both very similar.

I believe the colour palette and some of the themes (such as; love, unique characters, comedically different perspectives..) are very similar. Furthermore, they’re my two favourite series’ and I think the humour sometimes overlaps as well as showing all different types of characters that don’t fit well into society.
