Both stories take place in the Edo period/Tokugawa period, thus are about warring countries being governed by feudal lords or daimyo, who confronted each other in an endless struggle for power, but it has more to it! ^_^
-Differences-
While Sengoku Basara has a more serious atmosphere to it and has way more action in it, On the other side Oda Nobuna no Yabou has more romance and comedy to it. Not to mention all the feudal lords/daymo are females! xD Enjoy~

They both focus on the same point in history with the same characters and conflicts (for the most part) but take the event from entirely different perspectives. Both animes boast huge battles and large scale war but ironically the main villain of Sengoku Basara is the main character of Oda Nobuna No Yabou. If you got the time I'd totally suggest checking out either one of these animes.
