both series are about immortal beings and their long adventures with touch of drama.
Both shows have a protagonist with a long life and both protagonists are also learning how to understand human emotions. The world building of these shows are amazing too, and they both have beautiful soundtracks. If you like one of these, you will enjoy the other one.
They're both drama fantasy anime that follows the journey of beings with extended lifespans,
They both have a similar calming, chill atmosphere and both explore the theme of the time we spent with people and the memories we made.

In both animes we follow the life of an immortal protaganiste learning to deal wwith their own emotions and the emotions felt by others.
The immmortality of the MC is a great pretext to dive into the realm of perspectives and what it means to be human wih its ups and down. Although both animes arehave generally a feel good vibe, they wont shy away from more sad and depressive plot elements.

In both shows, the protagonists are journeying to explore and experience human emotions.
Both explores the idea of life and death.

Both have powerful but emotionally stunted immortal MCs who slowly try to gain an understanding of human emotions via emotionally charged events that occur over multiple generations.
Fumetsu no Anata e is sadder.
In both animes, the main characters live a very long life. There are a few fighting scenes in between, which makes things thrilling.
I found the art work similar.
Even the sentiments and emotions were similar.
Overall, both of the shows gave me a sense of calmness.
