In both the main character is a woman. Both are passionate about something (books and art) Both have a mentor who teach them in their passions. Both stories are about the passions of their main characters and their evolution to make their dreams possible. Both stories are based on a medieval-historical time without tecnology. Both protagonists are being discriminated becouse their poverty or the fact that they are women.

Similar vibes, Arte girl interested in art with Tutor. In Honzuki no Gekokujou it is girl interested in books with a Tutor. Overall atmosphere is similar, and both are set in worlds that seem like 1400s-1600s Europe.
