Both feature cute, overpowered girls in fantasy RPG-like settings. BOFURI takes place inside a video game and Watashi, Nouryoku wa Heikinchi de tte Itta yo ne is all in reality (reality for the show anyway, it's in a fantasy setting), but they have similar vibes. If you like one, you'll likely enjoy the other!

Both shows have similar protagonists - Little Girl - Overpowered - Ditz Bofuri obviously feels more like a video game, where the stakes are much less severe and the adventures are all in good fun. Average Abilities takes place in a conventional fantasy setting and as such their lives are on the line. While the pacing of Bofuri feels natural and calm, Average Abilities feels very sudden.

Both of these are moe isekai anime that have more action than you would expect from a moe show. Average Abilities gets surprisingly real and dark at times and Max Out My Defense gets very into the action.
