Both shows involve a protagonist with a lofty goal, and the group of people she ropes in to help make the dream a reality. The series' revolve around how they can achieve and realize the goal, along with the antics the groups get into along the way. They both have a sense of adventure (though Sora yori more so) and and have theme of youthful hope and achievement.

Two groups of high school girl who are working together to achieve their goal despite it sounding highly unlikely to achieve. In case of Sora Yori this goal is going to Antarctica while in Eizouken it is creating their own anime.
Goals themselves are quite different but what gives the similar feel to these two anime are relationships of the main characters; groups of girls brought together each with their own reason for reaching the common goal and they work together to achieve it despite the opposition they face on the way. A vibrant, funky cast of teenage girls, united by a common goal, decide to tackle on the challenge of reaching their destination together. Both shows are blessed with phenomenal landscape scenery and a youthful atmosphere that makes you want to get out there and make your dreams come true – even if you don't have any.
