In both series, the girl likes a guy, but he doesn't seem to feel the same way until something crazy happens to the girl which brings them both together. The girl acts more child-like and friendly than her normal self, and the guy mellows out because of her.
Uncanny similarity.
Both females of both shows had a dramatic "change" that occurred to them, making them closer to the one they loved.
Both main male characters have this dilemma whether to keep the "change" that had happened or to revert them back.
Animations are pretty similar. Romance is Vanilla. Both Main male characters are bad-ass, but you can see them warm-up later because of the circumstances that happened...
