They both have lots of high-octane action and high quality animation to back it up.
The character are strange and wacky and are where most of the comedy comes from
The main characters both want to be normal despite living around so many weird people.
While Space Patrol Luluco is delivered in small shots of comedy in 7 minutes, Guru guru spans twenty minutes and still manages to keep the jokes fresh and entertaining throughout.
