if you like fate stay night UBW and Fate Zero try to watch this one to but if you haven't watch fate stay night or fate zero you will have trouble for understanding the plot because everything is explained in the prequels. however this is a same universe with fate stay night and fate zero

Fate/Apocrypha is within the same world as Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works, this time fighting for a Greater Holy Grail as opposed to a normal one. Instead of a full on battle royale against the others such as in Fate/Stay Night, the characters are thrown into opposing teams of black/red and forced to duke it out in order to fulfill their wishes.
