Love Hina, Nisekoi Recommendations
Is the same basic storyline, a childhood promise, love involved, girls confusion and a lots of comedy.
The characters are similar, but Love hina is harem style (many, many girls) and nisekoi is school life style.
- childhood romantic promise
- forgets/has blurred memory of the said promise upon growing up
- protagonist searching for the promised girl
- girls around the main character
- somehow reflects the personalities of the characters in this anime
- also a good romcom.
In Love Hina, the other girls don't actually show their affection to the main guy (only the main girl is obvious). He's just serve as an "inspiration" OR a kind of "brother figure" for them.
In Nisekoi, the girls show their affection to the main guy to the point that every girl likes him.
Boy made a promise with a girl in the past and now he finds two girls and he thinks one of them is the promised girl.
We've got your harem, your tsundere, your frail girl, your shy girl, your girl that can kick your ass in less than a minute, your misunderstandings, your cliches, your nosebleeds, your main male character who tends to get the crap beat out of him in basically every episode by that gosh darn tsundere chick, and the list just goes on and on.
There are quite a few differences between the two series, but there is also a lot they have in common. If you like one, you'll probably like the other.
They both have almost the same plot in the story.
