The first part of 5DS reminded me a lot of Scryed. You have two characters from a poor place trying to escape and beat the system in control. Although 5DS eventually goes into a completely different direction. Scryed will revolve around the main characters fight against those in power as he tries to change his fate. Similarities:
Both cities suffered an event that split them into two parts.
Both characters are gifted with abilities and come from the poor side.
Both characters fight to try and change their fate.
