Hyouka, Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge Recommendations
Tanaka-kun and Oreki both like to do things that require the least amount of energy. Although Tanaka-kun takes it to a whole new level and is more of a school-life comedy while Hyouka is a mystery anime.
Both the Anime have a rather cute art style.
These anime both feature an exceptionally lazy highschooler that choose to conserve energy and live a quiet, reserved life rather than make an effort have a healthy social life. They are suddenly presented with an eccentric, energetic girl who forces them out of their lethargic tendencies and actually make an effort occasionally. Both anime have a comedic, entertaining cast of characters that enhance both the plot and main character himself, who eventually grows more as a person thanks to his caring group of friends. While Tanaka-kun is more focused on episodic daily life, Hyouka has an underlying mystery aspect to progress the plot.
both titles have lazy main characters
and both of these would rather talk to themselves than to other characters
and that was the main reason I loved both anime
Similar main characters, but Tanaka takes laziness to a whole new level
+ The main characters are very similar with how they both long for a quiet, peaceful life and are perceived as very lazy.
+ An eccentric female character who takes interest in the male main character.
+ Both are slow paced and calm slice-of-life shows.
- Tanaka-kun is Always Listless has much more relatable, chill and down-to-earth feel.
- Hyouka focuses more on mysteries, visuals and music.
