Excellent and endearing characters with romantic comedy appeal, surprising depth in writing, and remarkable pacing.

Both centre around a high school setting where the main character is somewhat forced into joining a club. Both main characters have minimalist world views and are fairly cynical. Also, both of the clubs that the anime features are focused on helping others.

Witty dialogue and cynical male lead. Also the task-enforcing girls in both anime.

The Main Character, and the fact that he is forced into joining a club. Both males are loner, but will probably change over time
