Every episode consists of a few random short stories filled with both calm moments and slapstick comedy. In both series there isn't really a plot, and the artstyle is similar too.

similar humor. there is this scene in both series where 3 guys stand around throwing a ball back and forth while discussing something and then at the end the ball falls to the ground.

First thought: WHY ARE YOU COPYING DANSHI?? (the ball part) But it was pretty good, similar comedy and settings, both does not actually have 1 story, just a SoL with a pretty good comedy I think if you like danshi, you probably (if you don't have hate for the perfect guy) like this too

They both have short mini story style episodes and very similar styles of comedy. Both revolve around the daily lives of high school students. Both are hilarious.

Ok, granted, NOTHING can stand up to Sakamoto in terms of Sakamoto-ness, but out of all the choices out there, I feel Danshi Koukousei is the one that at least comes close to being like... 1/3 Sakamoto. Both anime are heavily based on comedy and guys (and one on Sakamoto) and consist of multiple parts within a single episode connected through short transitions with a gag on their own. The main and also the only important difference is that only one of these two anime is about Sakamoto while the other one is about several groups of friends and their adventures in their daily lives.

Well, the one and sole similarity is that both are uniquely hilarious, both cover a similar type of "humor."

Both series are very similar in their comedic style as they both divide their episodes into 2 or 3 unrelated scenarios. The scenarios are completely random and unrelated and involves the adventures of high school boys doing weird and crazy things leading to a punchline at the end. Both series are directed by the same person so if you like one I can assure you that you will love the other.

-Both slapstick comedy -Both ironic parodies -Centered around daily life at a school setting Sakamoto is about a guy who is "perfect," but if you liked one there is almost no doubt that you'll enjoy the other

Both are comedy anime set in a school. The main characters are all boys, but girls are in both shows as supporting characters. Episodes are split into multiple different sub-episodes with different skits, but still have a progressing story. Both anime have skits that involve three male friends passing a ball around in a school yard until one of them drops it.
