Episode 4 of Ojamajo Doremi Na-i-sho should appeal to any fan of Satoshi Kon's Perfect Blue due its gripping depiction of an idol's inner thought-process through disjointed editing and seamless blend of reality and fiction, creating a vivid landscape for the imaginary of a girl coming to terms with herself, her past and her future.

Shadows House
Maybe it's because both of these animes were created by the same studio, but Shadow's House gives me extreme Promised Neverland vibes. I don't know if it's because both have to do with children experiencing weird situations or circumstances, but it definitely feels like there's a bigger picture then what you would expect. Shadow's House doesn't have any necessarily scary scenes, but it gives me a very eerie vibe that I can't help but relate to the Promised Neverland. Shadow's House is one that I think is getting slept on this season for no exact reason. I've been thoroughly enjoying the series thus far, but I haven't really heard anyone talk about it. So I would give this one a try (especially if you like creepy elements), because I kinda want to talk about it with someone :>

I loved both animes a lot, and I think that if you like one, you'll definitely enjoy the other!

Both niche monster battling kids anime that came out on the tail-end of Pokemania alongside a wealth of similar shows such as Yugioh, Beyblade & Digimon to name a few. Taking this into account it's very clear that these shows were created with similar ideas for essentially the same target audience/demographic. Both contain intelligent and communicative creatures that speak to their human counterparts. (These two unlike some others both feature their respective monsters speaking full coherent sentences in the "human" language of whatever language you're watching the show in -think Digimon not Pokemon). They both have very unique and expressive art styles and monster designs. If you had a good time with any of the shows mentioned in this recommendation or any that follow a similar formula, I'm sure you will appreciate both of these anime.

Battles in both are used to showcase the different abilities and their applications. -Both have unexplained mysteries behind their series' worlds and the events they cover (mist/awakenings in LoV, what plays out with Ganta and his eventual move to Deadman Wonderland in DW). As each series plays out we learn more about their respective mysteries. -Both series have their good qualities but have various things that hold them back and generally earn them criticism, some of these are shared with both shows such as direction and pacing.

6HP (Six Hearts Princess)
Six Hearts Princess and Wish Upon the Pleiades are two magical girl series that seem to be made as some sort of special collaboration or something, as they both have limited episodes (or at least have some kind of irregular airing schedule) and have unnaturally fluid/consistent-looking animation. The main character is a pink-haired girl who meets a alien/fantasy creature and gets herself involved with magic.

Six Hearts Princess and Magic User's Club are two magical girl series that surprisingly have somewhat decently fluid/consistent-looking animation. The first scene in both series are somewhat sci-fi and don't have anything like the typical look/tone of the actual show. 6HP (Six Hearts Princess)
Six Hearts Princess and HeartCatch PreCure are two magical girl anime that start off with some fight that seems to take place before the events of the story and feature a pink-haired girl as the main protagonist. She then meets a magical talking familiar who gives her the power to transform into a magical girl. The OP/PV for 6HP also sounds and looks quite similar to HeartCatch's OP, so it's possible 6HP was originally a parody of that show or the Pretty Cure series.

Adult male protagonist lives through life lethargically. He falls in love with a woman who has her life together, great job, beautiful, and caring. He confesses to her, but she rejects him at first. He begins interacting with a mysterious teenage girl who helps him find motivation and self-confidence. Both girls are high school dropouts and ran away from home. In HigeHiro the mysterious girl moves into the main character's apartment. Whereas in Yesterday she appears at random times throughout the show. They attempt to have a realistic atmosphere—no romantic comedy hijinks, toned down color-pallete, and the setting is suburban Japan. Most of the anime is comprised of conversations taking place in the street, a convenience store, a cafe, or the main character's apartment. Higehiro deals with trauma and depression, but Yesterday is more about finding yourself. If you like realistic dramas with love triangles you will like both of these anime.

Watching Horimiya takes me back to a magical time in my life when I was first discovering anime and Toradora was one of the first anime I watched. A guy, a vehicle, a journey. So similar yet so different. What I find interesting is that the shows represent not so different protagonist, they are both pretty distant initially and they don't let the environment around influence them too much. For some reason tho, even if they react very differently to things that happen during their journey when I think about what I remember about those series, I get a similar feeling. I think this is due to the fact that they act very differently, their story is different and the feeling they and the emotions they experience are different. But as I viewer I was not them. I surely got attach to them, but I was watching their story and I got to experience their journey in a different way they did. I saw, in both cases, interesting places, colourful designs, interesting characters and cultures.

On one hand, we have a pretty red-haired girl, a princess who seems pretty happy about her life as it is. Yeah, not even she can have everything that she wants, but she still hopes she will eventually succeed even and marry the guy she loves. On the other, we have a guy, also red-haired, if that matters. He has a great passion but can't really be who he is with his family, so his life does not seem as satisfying. For very different reasons, they both go on a journey, which will allow them to know a lot of friendly and not so friendly people. As you follow their ups and downs, you will see that what really matters it's not really the goal the protagonist initially set for themself. For both of them I think the real gain they get from their journey is, other than the friends they make along the way, what, by knowing more people and culture, places, they are able to become. In the beginning, their story felt so different, but in reality, their situation was more similar than it appeared, they both lived in a pretty closed environment, and in the end, their story is a coming-of-age tale.
