Akko and Midoriya's character arcs are remarkably similar. They are both idealistic young protagonists who decided to attend a prestigious high school after being inspired by their idols on TV. They both are out of their element due to a lack of experience and abilities, but end up persevering and saving the day anyway. Also, both shows have a clear influence from Western media, with Boku no Hero inspired by American superhero comics and Little Witch Academia feeling like an all-girls version of the Harry Potter universe.

I know, I know, they have many differences... but still, the similarities are screaming! The funny relationship between someone who can't control his anger and someone who angers him on purpose? Check! The main character who looks harmless, but ends up being far from that? Check! (In different ways, though). Supernatural powers? Check! Mafia? Check! A comedy that turns more serious later? Check! Weirdest recommendation ever, I know, but they give the same vibe. I think the word is vibe...

The other version is 1/6th of the runtime, black and white, and pretty much the first publicly praised work of now famous director Makoto Shinkai. The story and mood are similar, I give Shinkai's version a slightly better rating because it has more emotional power and better art (even if it is B/W).

Tasogare Otome x Amnesia
Tonally and in terms of the relationship between the leads, this is the closest I've found. A girl of two natures who is spooky and potentially dangerous becomes fixated on a nervous wreck of a boy who just wants to do the right thing. Whereas Mirai Nikki is interspersed with random bits of humor and lightness amidst the violence and dark themes, Tasogare starts out lighter in tone and gradually grows darker across the run of the series, eventually including that level of violence. However, the central focus on the unlikely romance between an adorable-yet-dangerous girl and a sweet guy who has to learn to cross some weird lines he's initially uncomfortable with remains a core component in both.

One Outs
Aside from both being sports anime, they both are a little odd, in the sense that they rely on tactics and quick thinking. These tactics made by characters who feel and look similar. Both have weak teams at the beginning, and then a character who seems to excel at their position, giving the other teams a hard time, while they also give their all. The animation and sometimes the OST feels kind of similar too. The main differences, aside from the sport they include, is that One Outs is a seinen, and is focused on the protagonist; while Eyeshield 21 is a shonen and is longer, so it has more space for character development, and focuses on the team.
