I wont say that Another and Tasogare Otome x Amnesia are very similar, but both of them have some level of gore and the plot revolves around ghosts. Tasogare Otome x Amnesia runs a romance genre alongside mystery which it pulls of pretty decently with a conflictingly-satisfying ending, even though the plot and the events that take place are much different, both anime have a similar air of mystery in their plot.

Lv2 kara Cheat datta Motoyuusha Kouho no Mattari Isekai Life
Both shows implement the isekai setting of fantasy worlds and creatures, but also focus more on character relationships and progression for their respective domains, rather than conflict with a demon king or some ultimate foe. Kinda like raising a wholesome kingdom that doesn't use force. They just chill out, make/grow food, and sell it. The MC's are nice and wholesome characters, and both have a fantasy creature/woman they fall in love and settle down with. There is also a slew of creatures (mascots if anything) and women that occupy their domain (harem options that don't fall through because of MC's devotion...in the anime at least). If you like one, you're sure to like the other.

Your kneejerk reaction will probably be to compare Terror in Resonance to Death Note. And that's fair. The detectives vs. criminal masterminds half of the story is definitely reminiscent of DN. But there's another half of the story-- centered on a young girl who feels out of place in her everyday life getting involved with two boys who are caught up in a life-changing phenomenon. I thought Lisa's storyline was really reminiscent of Ruka in Children of the Sea.

Anime: Shin Getter Robo

Shin Getter Robo
Gurren Lagann and Getter Robo are constantly compared, but to put it really concisely— Getter Robo is Gurren Lagann, minus comedy, plus horror. They're similar enough if you like one you'll probably find something to like in the other, but different enough they can have fans with entirely different sensibilities. Getter Robo's influence on Gurren Lagann is both intentional and extremely obvious to anyone that's seen both. Gurren Lagann keeps a lot of the horror-ish elements but downplays their scariness. Getter Robo wants to tell stories that are far darker than Gurren Lagann. New Getter Robo is by far the easiest version of Getter Robo to consume as someone who's never experienced the franchise before, and makes both the similarities and differences with Gurren Lagann— both incredibly substantial— very apparent very quickly. ("Shin Getter Robo" is a legitimate way to put the title, but it also could refer to a very different manga or even the title of other OVAs, so this OVA gets called "New Getter Robo" for less ambiguity.)

Both are extremely adorable, magical girl shows. Both have excellent character development. Trust me, you will grow attached to these characters in an unexpected way. Both these shows seem shallow and childish when you first hear about them, but they go much deeper. But, the only difference is that Ojamajo Doremi may get a little dark in the later seasons, unlike Cardcaptor Sakura which maintains a consistent tone throughout the story. Anyways, if you liked one, you will like the other most likely so give them a try.

Two slice of lifes with a talking cat living within a family of humans. ME isn't about youkai living amongst humans but there are references of Mikan perhaps actually being a nekomata which Buchio would turn into within TnY. Main difference would be that Mikan is hiding the fact he can talk human-language whereas Buchio doesn't need to hide this. The stories are different but they are similar with their light-hearted and heartwarming moments amongst some serious things that occur within them, although ME is a lot more comedic and in nature throughout compared to the fairly heavy lore of TnY has as it progresses.

When I first started watching Loser Ranger it immediately reminded me of Tiger & Bunny, especially with how fights between heroes and villains are broadcasted for everyone to see. The public plays an integral part in the status of heroes or rangers. Both also show that what people see on screen isn't exactly what is seen behind closed doors; some of the "good guys" really aren't that "good" behind the scenes. Some people will do whatever they can to achieve a high status.

The protagonists of both anime cope with the same struggle: juggling work, studying and keeping their roommate out of trouble. Chiii and NieA are polar opposites in terms of personality but both seem to have a way of causing trouble for their respective roomates, Hideki and Mayuko. They're the exact same anime but with the gender of the main characters reversed. Everything from the plot to the side characters is a direct copy. > Both of them are about the MC getting reincarnated into a game as a villain/side character. > Both of MCs are ultra OP. > Both of them have a female character who is surrounded by a male harem. Ton of other similarities. Too long to list out. Personally, Otome Game was more satisfying to watch.

Both of these series have action, supernatural creatures, romance, and (slight spoiler I guess?) a heroine that is part human and part something supernatural; seen as a god and are targeted by the supernatural creatures because of this. Ayakashi Triangle focuses on Ayakashi in general, where as Mononogatari is focused on tsukumogami/marebito. The protagonists are also prejudiced against said supernatural creatures and dislike them strongly at first, the heroines however are okay with them.

What makes both of these shows scary is that there's a heavy emphasis on not knowing what's going on. Jellyfish Can't Swim In The night reminds me of a more modern K-On, with it being centered around an online anonymous pop group with members comprised of high schoolers rather than a high school rock band. It also goes into more than just song creation, but also marketing, music video production and stuff like that. So far it is an amazing slice of life story that had me smiling the entire time, and also seems like it may have explicit queer rep.

Frieren Beyond Journey's End and SayoAsa is a testament and a reminder about cherishing the time you have with loved ones. They both illustrate the realities of the lives of others and their fleeting, finite life. Whilst Frieren & Maquia themselves continue to simply live on evermore; due to their heritage. Both stories explores the bonds while living on with this everlasting existence, both discovering the beauty of interpersonal relationships between themselves and the mortals of the world. The gravity of the mortality of the world is well explored showing the progression of time and how it affects society. The relationship between Fern & Frieren can be seen in a similar light with Ariel & Maquia where they live on together in a non-sedentary journey discovering the bond they have with each other. Expect both stories to be emotionally driven.
